"Immunity in the wild" Mes recherches, à l'interface de l'éco-immunologie et de la biologie évolutive, visent à comprendre quels sont les facteurs (individuels ou environnementaux) qui façonnent l'immunité des espèces, des populations et des individus - en milieu naturel. Je m'intéresse à la manière dont les variations de ce phénotype immunitaire vont influencer les communautés microbiennes et le phénotype infectieux des individus, en lien avec leurs traits d'histoire de vie. Actuellement, mon projet de recherche principal vise à étudier les effets de l'exposition à des pollutions anthropiques (lumineuse, sonore) sur l'immunité et le microbiote chez le crapaud commun Bufo bufo. Je co-supervise avec Nathalie Mondy la thèse d'Arthemis Moraru, sur les dynamiques des communautés microbiennes chez le crapaud commun. My research, at the interface of eco-immunology and evolutionary biology, aims to understand the drivers of variation in immune phenotype between species, populations and individuals - in the wild. I'm interested in how these variations influence microbial communities and infectious phenotype of individuals, and their relationships with life-history traits. Currently, my main research project aims to study the effects of exposure to anthropogenic pollution (light, noise) on immunity and microbiota in the common toad Bufo bufo.
