Après des travaux en génétique des arbres forestiers réalisés à l'INRA, j'ai intégré l'université et j'ai orienté mes recherches sur l'évolution des plantes, abordée principalement à l'aide des analyses phylogénétiques. Ayant mené des activités au sein de la Société Française d'Orchidophilie (site web orchisauvage, ouvrages consacrés aux orchidées indigènes), j'ai intégré les orchidées dans mes travaux. Je travaille actuellement sur la phylogénie et l'évolution d'un genre d'orchidées de l'hémisphère nord, le genre Epipactis. Chaque taxon est représenté dans la mesure du possible par plusieurs individus. Leur collecte est réalisée à l'aide du réseau des orchidophiles. J'essaie de répondre à diverses questions taxonomiques soulevées par ce genre Epipactis dont les taxons sont très proches génétiquement. Un taxon indigène de la vallée du Rhône, Epipactis fibri, menacé par sa rareté et la disparition des zones humides qui lui sont favorables, fait l'objet d'un plan d'action national dans le quel je suis impliqué au niveau de l'étude génétique. Ce taxon est extrêmement proche d'autre taxons d'Europe centrale.
After working in forest tree genetics at INRA, I joined the university and focused my research on plant evolution, primarily through phylogenetic analysis. Having been active within the French Orchid Society (website orchisauvage, publications on native orchids), I incorporated orchids into my work. I am currently working on the phylogeny and evolution of a genus of orchids from the Northern Hemisphere, the genus Epipactis. Each taxon is represented, when possible, by several specimens. These are collected using the orchid enthusiast network. I am trying to answer various taxonomic questions raised by this genus Epipactis, whose taxa are very closely related genetically. Epipactis fibri, a native taxon of the Rhône Valley, threatened by its rarity and the disappearance of the wetlands that support it, is the subject of a national action plan in which I am involved in the genetic study. This taxon is extremely closely related to other taxa from Central Europe.
